While a continuation of my series of critical responses to Kevin MacDonald’s magnum opus is currently in the works, it will likely be at least a couple weeks before I’m able to publish the next installment.
The article doesn't say Ernst was Jewish; it mentions how he was apparently listed in an edition of the Universal Jewish Encyclopedia, but that doesn't mean he's Jewish since the encyclopedia includes plenty of non-Jews. Additionally, there's at least one reference to him having been a Catholic: In Defense of Anthropology by Herbert Lewis (2014), p. 175. (Link too long to be included, here, but it's in my previous article on Boas where Marie is discussed.)
Boas' wife was Jewish... here is an article that mentions her father was a prominent surgeon and mentions he is a jew
